Landing Pages for Fitness Brands

How to build a landing page that sells fitness equipment or sports nutrition: sections in order, specs and delivery, proof, and the claim rules.

Article summary

TL;DR

A fitness landing page sells one product to one kind of visitor, usually from an ad. Show the product in use first, then answer what a buyer needs before paying: specs and footprint, delivery and assembly, proof, warranty and returns, then the offer. Keep every result claim realistic, and keep testimonials typical or clearly disclosed.

  • Polar Analytics reports a 2.25% median conversion rate for "Sports & Outdoor" and 2.74% for "Health & Wellness" Shopify brands (August 2026).
  • "Results not typical" doesn't fix a dramatic testimonial; the FTC wants the results a typical buyer can expect (2022).
  • Meta bans "close up on specific body area by pinching fat" and "statements of inferiority about physical appearance" in weight loss or gain ads (2026).
  • Written warranties on products over $15 must be available to buyers before the sale.
  • For online sales in California, a Prop 65 warning goes on the product page or behind a clear "WARNING" link.

Most of the "fitness landing page" examples you find online are for gyms and coaches: a free pass, a class booking. A product brand sells differently: the buyer has to picture the item at home, then trust the delivery.

Claims, testimonials and before-and-after

Every line on the page counts as advertising, including the reviews you choose to display.

Watch out

Ad platforms review the page your ad sends traffic to, not only the ad. A clean ad that lands on a page full of dramatic before-and-after claims can still be rejected.

Ad rules in full: can you advertise fitness products on Facebook, Google and TikTok?

Mobile first

Most paid social traffic arrives on phones.

  • Video or the in-use photo fills the first screen.
  • Price and the main spec (size or weight) visible within two screens.
  • Specs as text, not inside an image, so they can be read and zoomed.
  • Sticky checkout button at the bottom of the screen.
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay at checkout: see express checkout for fitness brands.
  • Compress video and images; heavy media slows the page most.

What to test

  1. First screen

Video vs. photo of the product in use.

  2. Proof

Review count and rating near the price vs. lower down.

  3. Delivery block

Placed before vs. after the reviews.

  4. Offer

Single item vs. kit, for equipment; 1 tub vs. 2-tub tier, for nutrition.

Judge tests on revenue per visitor, not clicks. Method: A/B testing for fitness brands.

Frequently asked questions

What should a fitness product landing page include?

The product in use, the price and what's included, specs and footprint, reviews, delivery and assembly, warranty and returns, required notices, a short FAQ and the offer again at the bottom. For sports nutrition, add the label, flavors and subscription terms.

Should fitness ads go to a landing page or a product page?

Paid traffic usually converts better on a page built for the ad: one product, one offer, no menu. Keep the product page for search and browsing traffic. Make sure the page matches what the ad promised; ad platforms review both.

Can I use before-and-after photos on a fitness landing page?

Be careful. The FTC treats results "more dramatic than users can generally expect" as likely deceptive, and "Results not typical" doesn't fix it. TikTok's misleading content policy names "before-and-after results" among product effect comparisons that can mislead, and Meta and Google restrict body and weight claims.

How long should a fitness landing page be?

Long enough to answer every question a buyer has before paying. A $40 accessory needs a short page; a large piece of equipment needs specs, delivery, assembly, warranty and financing. Put the offer near the top and repeat it at the bottom.

Do I need a Prop 65 warning on my fitness product page?

Prop 65 is a California rule tied to listed chemicals, so check it product by product. If a product needs a warning, the warning for online sales goes on the product page, behind a link marked "WARNING", "CA WARNING" or "CALIFORNIA WARNING", or is shown clearly before the purchase is complete.
